Keri Mulholland

Keri graduated from Glasgow School of Art with a BA(Hons) in Painting and Printmaking in 2008.

Her work is heavily influenced by theories of the unconscious : from Freud's dream analysis and model of the psyche to Dali's development of a visual language through recurring symbols. This lends her work a heavy sense of atmosphere, which can range from a primitive childlike sense of escapism and optimism to a much darker world, where uncertainty and doubt cloud over.

Similar scenery is often depicted in her work, exploring the duality of these spaces and reflecting the world the viewer inhabits. This discourse between light and dark is interwoven with recurring symbols of trees, smoke, fire and the sun, developing keri's own visual language.
