A 2008 graduate, from Gray's School of Art Aberdeen, Kendal's subject matter deals with the visualisation of humorous stories/narratives and explores ironic and playful themes throughout. Dealing with everyday icons juxtaposed into intriguing compositions the imagery enjoys mixing areas of colour with line and is always emblematic. Each work is neither painterly nor a print but an object in its own right.
Kendal constantly challenges imagery, colour, language and content and experiments with a wide range of possible media including glass and wood.
