A 2008 graduate from the Fine Art Painting department of Glasgow School of Art, Adam lives and works in Edinburgh.
His more literal work involving portraiture or nudes is primarily concerned with representation of form in a very linear sense while his most recent work has leanings towards developing a means of expression without relinquishing his grasp of line-based form.
'I wish to borrow and steal various forms and mark-making from influences such as Guston and Baselitz but not the social or personal commentary inherent. By not quite reaching for true abstraction or committing to literal form, my work is open to ambiguity with which I hope to be caricaturing an abstraction.' Adam Blair Pryde - 2008
