Originally from Northern Ireland, Jo came to Scotland to study at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee from where she graduated, in 2004, with a BA Hons in Illustration.
Currently resident in Edinburgh she has worked on a wide range of projects which have included - working with a writer and composer based in London on a Children's Musical where her illustrations were used in two BrightSparks Childrens' concerts with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Barbican amongst others. Jo is currently working on an illustrated novel for young adults based on African spirits and mythology.
Working in a variety of materials she enjoys combining fabric and stiching with inks and pencil to create tactile images. Jo loves the macabre side to life and has been inspired by the works of Dave Mackean, Miyazaki, Tim Burton and Marc Craste.
